Ernest Terrell Maxwell dies in hit-and-run bike accident in Cobb CountyCovenant

A Powder Springs, Ga., man was taken into custody on first-degree vehicular homicide charges related to a hit-and-run crash that resulted in the death of a cyclist in Cobb County.

The cyclist, Ernest Terrell Maxwell, 43, of Austell, was struck from behind approximately 6:30 a.m. on April 9, according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. He died at the location after being launched from his cycle. Police interviewed witnesses to develop a characterization of the automobile, which they gather was a 2004 TrailBlazer.
